About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to obstetrics and gynecology patients, including general medicine, reproductive system, pregnancy, and childbirth.
- Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in patient care and outcomes.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance activities.
Practice Details
- We have eight labor and delivery locations, with 13,800 deliveries per year, and a team of 53 OBGYNs, 21 OB hospitalists, 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives, 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, and 2 fetal interventionalists.
- We offer nursing support programs for prescription refills, triage, and pap results, as well as after-hours answering service support.
- Our quaternary hospital, Abbott Northwestern, has a Level IV NICU, and our tertiary hospitals, Mercy and United, have Level III NICUs.
- We offer mentorship and learning opportunities from a group of 80+ providers across our health system.
- We have a collaborative approach to care, with integrative medicine, perinatal mental health consultants, and uro/gyn APP support.
- Our current practice has 2 Generalist, 1 Hospitalist, and 1 APP, with flexibility to tailor practice if interested in gynecologic surgery.
- We offer a competitive, comprehensive salary, benefit, and time away package, including malpractice insurance, relocation, and a 2-year salary guarantee.
- Flexibility to moonlight at additional Allina sites.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- OBGYN BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
- BLS within 180 days of hire.
