Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines: Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, performing both minor and major overhauls to maintain efficiency.
- Drive Line Component Maintenance: Remove, repair, and replace crucial drive line components, including transmissions, drive shafts, and differentials.
- Engine and Body Accessory Repairs: Maintain and repair essential engine and body accessories, including heating and air conditioning systems, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and suspension components.
- Braking System Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of braking systems to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Electrical Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components, ensuring all systems function correctly and efficiently.
- Seating, Steering, and Glass Installations: Assist in performing installations and repairs of seating, steering components, and glass, ensuring comfort and functionality for passengers.
- Electric Bus Maintenance: Work on electric buses, maintaining and inspecting high-voltage systems, battery packs, and electric drivetrains.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with diesel engines, driveline components, and electrical systems, with familiarity with electric vehicle maintenance a plus.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with diagnostic devices, A/C recovery and charging equipment, and shop tools, including hydraulic presses, pullers, manometers, tachometers, decelerometers, VOA instruments, dial indicators, micrometers, reamers, hones, vacuum and compression pumps, brake lathes, and other power tools.
- Certification: Additional certifications related to electric vehicles or advanced diagnostics are beneficial.
- Experience in Fabrication and Machining (Optional): Skills in welding, machining, or fabrication are a plus, including the ability to utilize these skills to address unique repair needs and contribute to custom modifications as required.
- Safety and Precision: Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment, with the ability to handle high-voltage systems and complex electronic components safely.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and organizational skills.
