Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing medically prescribed services to restore function, minimize disability, and assist patients in reaching their maximum possible level of functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide assessments and treatment activities with patients to improve communication and swallowing skills.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and support.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

PICU experience required.
Feeding/Swallowing experience preferred.
Acute Care experience required.
