Job Overview

Position: Quality Control Inspector

Salary: Competitive

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (CWI) is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid State Driver's License or Identification Card.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promotes and adheres to the company's safety protocols.
  • Conducts inspections for nonconforming materials upon receipt.
  • Evaluates welds to ensure compliance with standards such as AWS [D1.1/5].
  • Calibrates and maintains inspection tools and equipment.
  • Performs comprehensive final inspections of products.
  • Measures and assesses the overall characteristics of components.
  • Reports findings to the quality control manager and project manager.
  • Inspects the grade, shape, and thickness of incoming materials.
  • Ensures that bolt specifications align with purchase orders.
  • Maintains accurate inspection records.
  • Identifies and documents non-conforming materials.
  • Reviews incoming consumables for quality assurance.
  • Verifies that appropriate gauges are utilized for measuring weld sizes.
  • Ensures that calibrated tools are employed during inspections.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary based on organizational needs.
