About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software systems that advance national security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems using Java and other programming languages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Develop and maintain software documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with version control systems
  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with C++, C, Python, and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with virtualized environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)
  • Experience with Dockerization and Container Management
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with AWS Services
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $102,400 - $153,600, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, and paid time off.
