Job Description

Prairie Band Casino & Resort is seeking a skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Maintain high-quality food standards while controlling labor and other expenses.
  2. Oversee the operation of assigned outlet kitchens, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to SOPs.
  3. Provide direct supervision, training, and coaching to kitchen staff.
  4. Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  5. Develop and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and productivity.
  6. Perform financial analysis, complete reports, and assist with personnel hiring and development.
  7. Perform duties of Food-Beverage Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with two years of Culinary Arts School or equivalent technical training.
  • Two years of progressive supervisory experience in food production in a gaming, hotel, or chain restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of food and labor costs, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and basic office equipment.
  • Knowledge of Asian/Pacific Rim cuisines.

Working Conditions
