Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in open discussion with the healthcare team to identify mutual goals and develop strategies for achieving them.
- Diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
- Assess, detect, monitor, and attempt to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
- Notify physicians of patient condition and response to nursing intervention, and document this action.
- Responsible for ensuring patient pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented, and evaluated, and adhere to policies and procedures for Pain Management.
- Delegate tasks to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Life Support (AHA) within 12 months of hire date, BLS Provider (AHA) within 1 month of hire date, and Licensed Registered Nurse within 3 months of hire date.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (AAS) or RN Diploma at start date, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Work Experience: Six months minimum experience in Cardiology, Telemetry monitoring, and knowledge of 12 Lead EKG Arterial Sheath Management preferred.
