Job Title: Transportation and Planning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation and Planning Engineer to join our team at the City of Saint Paul, MN. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing transportation systems that enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

Job Summary:

The Transportation and Planning Engineer will be responsible for leading conceptual layout design for roadway capital improvement projects, representing Public Works in multi-agency efforts for transportation improvements or studies, and leading community engagement efforts related to transportation systems, corridor studies, and layout development for capital improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead conceptual layout design for roadway capital improvement projects
  • Represent Public Works in multi-agency efforts for transportation improvements or studies
  • Lead community engagement efforts related to transportation systems, corridor studies, and layout development for capital improvements
  • Review and comment on layouts or plans related to capital improvements to ensure compliance with city standards and adopted planning and policy documents
  • Lead or assist in the development and delivery of small-scale capital improvements
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Professional Civil Engineer license in the State of Minnesota and have at least four years of Civil Engineering experience, with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
