Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient medication histories through interviews and communication with pharmacies, nursing homes, and caregivers.
  • Assist with the medication reconciliation process, working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Investigate discrepancies in medication histories and collaborate with pharmacists to resolve issues.
  • Document and compile data for quality assurance programs and provide insights to inform leadership decisions.
  • Train new users on the use of automated dispensing systems and other pharmacy technology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 10 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Two years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the relevant state board of pharmacy (e.g., Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
