The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a range of diagnostic laboratory procedures aimed at enhancing patient care through precise laboratory outcomes.
This role encompasses active participation in departmental and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring tailored, patient-focused healthcare for diverse patient demographics.
This is an Exempt role.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all laboratory operations in alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Oversee daily activities, staff management, and adherence to regulatory standards for laboratory services.
- Analyze market trends, resource allocation, and customer needs to optimize laboratory performance.
- Foster effective relationships with all stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, staff, volunteers, and suppliers.
- Utilize continuous feedback from customer satisfaction metrics and employee engagement to drive improvements.
- Communicate departmental needs to leadership and collaborate with medical teams on laboratory-related matters.
Oversee the Laboratory Department.

Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a relevant biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited institution.
A minimum of three years of experience in a certified laboratory setting, including Point of Care Testing experience.
Certification from recognized accrediting bodies such as MT(ASCP), MT(HEW), MT(AMT), or CLS(NCA) is required.
Familiarity with governmental regulations and standards is essential.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with an understanding of the developmental needs of various patient age groups.
Knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare, CLIA, and other relevant regulatory standards is crucial.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personnel, medical staff, and the public.
Capability to make independent decisions and act as a liaison between staff and management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Work Environment:Perform duties in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment. The role may require lifting and moving items of varying weights.
Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as data analysis and computer work.
Physical Requirements:Regular use of hands and fingers for handling and operating equipment is required. The role may involve standing, talking, and hearing, with occasional walking, sitting, climbing, and other physical activities.
