This is a challenging and rewarding position as a Sr. Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at UC Davis Health System.
The role involves providing advanced level clinical operations to patients and their families, managing chronic or stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and following specialty protocols defined by standardized procedures.
Key Responsibilities: 80% Inpatient/Outpatient, 10% Professional Development, 5% Quality and Evidence-Based Practice, 5% Education/Research.
Required Skills:
- California Licensed Physicians Assistant (PA)
- National Certification (NCCPA) as a Physician Assistant in an aligned specialty
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR
- American Heart Association (AHA) or UCDH-issued Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Advanced Trauma Life support (ATLS) certifications within 1 year of hire
- Graduation with a master's or PhD degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- At least five years full-time experience as a PA in the aligned specialty
