Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced physician to lead our clinical team as a Medical Director. This role will involve providing complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across different settings, while also practicing and promoting ethical decision-making within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients across various settings, partnering with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
  • Engage with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
  • Audit practitioner medical orders and documentation to ensure compliance with state and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • Assume medical directorships for skilled and senior living facilities as needed.
  • Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
  • Participate in company-wide call processes to respond to acute changes of condition and prevent avoidable hospital transfers.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree.
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
  • Current unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
