Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician I (PCT I) is a vital role in our nursing team, providing high-quality support to patients and staff. As a PCT I, you will work under the supervision of a licensed clinician to deliver exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, treatment administration, and documentation.
  • Assist with patient elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in unit-based team activities, including professional governance and safety initiatives.
  • Support new employee orientation and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Certified in Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR with AED within 90 days of employment.
  • Preferred certifications include Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Health or Medical Assistant training program.
  • Experience in patient care or a related field is preferred.
