A Shift Manager at Hawaiian Bros Island Grill provides leadership to crew and other leads during a shift to ensure great quality, service and cleanliness to customers. They may operate the restaurant independently from time to time with or without direct support from onsite upper management. Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which may include planning for each shift, monitoring performance during the shift, taking action to ensure the team is meeting Hawaiian Bros standards, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next leader to help prepare him/her to run a great shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage internal communication, inventory management and organization, daily maintenance and cleanliness, crew management, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, scheduling deviations, and training.

Job Essentials

  • Lead the restaurant during a shift without supervision from a manager, delegate responsibilities to team members, ensure all products are stocked and stored, become a subject matter expert in each area of the restaurant, maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, ensure proper setup and breakdown of the entire restaurant, own open, mid, or close routines for the next shift, ensure all food meets company food safety regulations, and recognize a job well-done.
