Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-driven Switcher Driver I to join our team at Chewy's fulfillment center in Lewisberry, PA. As a key member of our operations team, you will work closely with transportation and logistics teams to ensure seamless fulfillment of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with transportation and operations teams to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient order fulfillment.
  • Labeling, replenishing, box making, and loading/unloading trailers to support inbound and outbound operations.
  • Fulfilling and organizing orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.
  • Performing operational roles such as order picking, outbound docks, or other outbound-related functions as needed.
  • Conducting periodic spot checks of the yard and reporting on equipment.
  • Operating a switcher unit for a minimum of 5 hours within a 30-calendar-day period.
  • Safely moving carrier trailers within the Chewy yard, including loads and empties for inbound and outbound docks.
Requirements
  • A safety-driven mentality and a valid driver's license.
  • Pass Chewy's driving and knowledge proficiency tests and maintain internal certification.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate via two-way radio.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
