Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at 21c Museum Hotels. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Delivery: Promptly and accurately deliver food from the kitchen to dining room tables, ensuring that guests receive their orders in a timely manner.
  • Order Taking: Record and enter in-room dining orders from guests into our point-of-sale system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Tray Setup and Delivery: Set up trays for in-room dining service and deliver food to hotel guests, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled to our high standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively between the kitchen and servers regarding the status of each table and delivery of food, ensuring seamless service.
  • Assistance: Assist servers and busser with table clearing and side work, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area and follow all proper sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests.
  • Knowledge and Attitude: Exhibit strong food knowledge, including menu descriptions for the bar and dining room, and maintain a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers and guests.
Requirements
  • Availability: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including weekends and holidays.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
