We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Controller to oversee comprehensive accounting functions. This role includes the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and controls for designated AMIkids affiliates, and delivering financial guidance to the administrative teams of these affiliates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures, providing support to affiliates with varying levels of complexity.
- Compile and assess financial data to create monthly financial statements and facilitate external audits, including year-over-year fluctuations and budget variance analyses, utilizing a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Identify and implement process enhancements. Keep training documents, supporting schedules, and the Finance Manual up to date.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist affiliates in tracking cash flow and overall financial health.
- Monitor affiliate expenditures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Guide and mentor accounting team members as well as administrative staff within the affiliates.
- Assist affiliate Board members with financial inquiries and matters.
- Update and maintain supporting schedules related to financial statements, including reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software, network systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
