Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and exhibit a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements
  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area, with EP preferred.
Work Experience

At least two years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
