Job Description Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Assembly Technician position include the safe operation of pneumatic and handheld tools. You will identify defects outside specified criteria and disassemble those defects. The role also involves reassembling products with replacement parts and inspecting and testing products before packaging and labeling for shipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure the safe operation of tools and equipment.
Maintain accountability for processing all paperwork related to assembly and packaging.
Uphold housekeeping standards in the work area.
Meet production and quality standards consistently.
Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with general plant practices, floor layout, and procedures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
Ability to perform continual and heavy lifting.
Licensed to operate a 3-ton forklift.
Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler and digital calipers are required.
Must be able to perform repetitive movements and tasks daily.
Ability to follow instructions and possess basic comprehension and reading skills.
Must be available to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Adhere to all safety regulations, practices, and established company policies.
Quick learner with the ability to apply new skills immediately.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, the following requirements must be met:
Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED), or two years of related experience/training, or a combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Language:
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Clear and effective communication with coworkers is essential.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Quick thinking and the ability to react to situations under time constraints are necessary. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with accuracy and thoroughness. Identify and resolve problems efficiently.
