RN Critical Care Step Down Nurse

Our Critical Care Step Down unit is a 39-bed unit that cares for patients with various medical conditions, including pulmonary, cardiac, and neurological disorders. Our team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals work together to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.
As a Critical Care Step Down nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those who are ventilated and require tracheostomy care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
