About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient-related activities for outpatient visits and surgical procedures, including scheduling, triaging, and providing information to internal and external customers.
  • Assist with managing clinical practice operations, including preparing and processing surgical billing, correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinical operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with Penn Medicine's values and standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; 2+ years of medical office experience or 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records, scheduling software, and other clinical systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
