We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac and Vascular Operating Room team at Hartford Hospital. As a circulating nurse, you will play a critical role in providing patient-centered care to high acuity patients in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.
- Ensure the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the operating room for each operation.
- Assist with cleaning the operating room after the operation, ensuring proper routing of equipment and used materials.
- Organize and administer individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room.
- Participate in patient teaching, incorporating the needs and behavior of the patient's specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Current CT RN License
- Previous OR nursing experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- CNOR a plus
