Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a broad spectrum of non-invasive cardiovascular tests to provide medical specialists with data for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of cardiovascular non-invasive tests according to established protocols, ensuring efficient operation of the department.
  • Recognize adequate vs inadequate data collection and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
  • Recognize abnormalities and life-threatening findings, reporting to physicians or nursing units as indicated.
  • Respond appropriately to situations requiring immediate action and judgment in patient care.
  • Strictly adhere to isolation and infection control procedures, demonstrating knowledge of fire and safety procedures.
  • Utilize computerized databases to generate reports and enter hospital charges in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison with physicians and their staff to expedite procedures and results.
  • Perform other cross-trained modalities as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education/Training: Accredited Allied Health Program, registry eligible.
  • Certifications: BLS/CPR.
  • Work Experience: Previous clinical background required.
