We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a broad spectrum of non-invasive cardiovascular tests to provide medical specialists with data for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of cardiovascular non-invasive tests according to established protocols, ensuring efficient operation of the department.
- Recognize adequate vs inadequate data collection and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
- Recognize abnormalities and life-threatening findings, reporting to physicians or nursing units as indicated.
- Respond appropriately to situations requiring immediate action and judgment in patient care.
- Strictly adhere to isolation and infection control procedures, demonstrating knowledge of fire and safety procedures.
- Utilize computerized databases to generate reports and enter hospital charges in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison with physicians and their staff to expedite procedures and results.
- Perform other cross-trained modalities as necessary.
- Education/Training: Accredited Allied Health Program, registry eligible.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR.
- Work Experience: Previous clinical background required.
