Job Description:
As a Data Engineer intern at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating deployment of our distributed system for collecting and processing log events from multiple sources. This includes:
  • Designing data schema and operating internal data warehouses and SQL/NoSQL database systems.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting operational or data issues in the data pipelines.
  • Driving architectural plans and implementation for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Experience with database, data warehouse or data lake solutions.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell, Scala).
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical discipline.
