Position Overview
As a Lead Software Architect, you will collaborate with our Distinguished Engineers and Senior Engineers to innovate and construct new systems, refine and upgrade existing systems, and identify fresh opportunities to leverage your expertise in addressing critical challenges. You will spearhead the strategy and implementation of a technical roadmap aimed at accelerating product delivery and unlocking new engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge in Open-Source technologies, including Terraform, Postgres, Keda, Knative, and Kubernetes as a service.

Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Lead Software Architect, you will:

• Partner with product managers, team members, clients, and other engineering teams to tackle our most challenging issues.

• Formulate and execute a technical software development strategy for the Platform Engineering sector.

• Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions delivered.

• Demonstrate deep hands-on experience in complex system design and the implementation of Containers and Kubernetes platforms.

• Consistently share best practices and enhance processes within and across teams.

• Provide on-call and operational support as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in at least two Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, C++, etc.

• Familiarity with at least two of the following languages: C, C#, PHP, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, shell script, SQL, etc.

• Proven experience collaborating with engineering teams and transitioning research into production.

• Background in continuous delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure as code practices.

• In-depth understanding of computer science data structures and algorithms.

• Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative methods.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup-like environment.

• Willingness to engage in both rapid development and operational settings.

• Knowledge of developer tools throughout the software development lifecycle (task management, source control, building, deployment, test automation, and related tools, operations, real-time communication).

• Familiarity with big data and streaming data pipeline architecture (Lambda/Kappa) and Kubernetes clusters.

• Experience with open-source tools such as GIT, Jenkins, and CircleCI.

• Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure as code.

• Experience with C# and .NET programming is advantageous.

• Expertise in Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, and AWS Lambda is a plus.

• Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Certifications are beneficial.

• Experience with serverless architecture utilizing open-source tools like KEDA and Knative is a plus.

• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell programming.

• Experience in technical software development for the Platform Engineering domain.

• Familiarity with CI/CD automation processes.

• Experience with the Go programming language is a plus.

Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in PaaS and IaaS environments.

• 3+ years of experience in architecture and design.

• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services.

• 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
