About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MRI Scanner Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As an MRI Scanner Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures patient safety by understanding and executing MRI safety concepts diligently and consistently.
  • Selects appropriate technical parameters and scanning techniques to ensure clinical exams are of good quality, in coordination with the radiologist.
  • Prepares patients for exams, ensuring proper identification and order execution.
  • Performs MRI examinations according to system and department standard protocols.
  • Demonstrates anatomical positioning and multiplanar image reconstruction expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, or ARRT(R) certification with at least 1 year full-time experience in MRI.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Shift Details:

  • Full time (36 hours a week)
  • 3x 12 hour shifts
  • Shifts: Mon - Wed or Thurs - Sat (7:00 am - 7:00 pm)
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, care providers, and visitors. Manual dexterity is required for manipulating equipment, and you must be able to lift and transfer patients safely.
