Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Terrebonne Parish School District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of our students and staff by maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with facilities management team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors by responding promptly to HVAC-related issues and concerns
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by attending training sessions and workshops
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair; experience in a school district or similar setting a plus
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
