Aeronautics Adjunct Instructor Job Description

Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified Aeronautics Adjunct Instructor to join our team. As an adjunct instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Job Summary

The Aeronautics Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching aeronautics courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning. You will work closely with students, colleagues, and industry partners to ensure that our programs meet the needs of the aviation industry.

Essential Functions

• Plan, develop, and implement instructional strategies to engage students and promote learning.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students.
• Develop and maintain curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to stay current with industry developments and trends.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with industry developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., aviation, education, or a related field).
• Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught.
• Current Flight Instructor Certificate (FAR 61.56) and a valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
• Ability to maintain a Class I or II medical certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Five or more years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught.
• CFI, CFII, and CFI-ME certifications.
• FAR 121 Operation experience.
• 3000 Hours Total Time with 2000 Hours PIC and 50 Hours Instrument experience.
