The Home Care Support Specialist at Griswold is dedicated to delivering empathetic and professional assistance to individuals within their residences in the Cuyahoga County and Lorain County regions.
This role is a full-time, hourly opportunity emphasizing the health and well-being of elderly clients. As a vital team member, the Home Care Support Specialist will significantly contribute to enabling clients to sustain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
The ideal candidate should possess a genuine enthusiasm for assisting others and prior experience in caregiving. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED.Compensation Details:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $18 to $22, with the highest rates offered for weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care and support to clients, including help with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Aid with mobility and transportation needs, such as accompanying clients to medical appointments or running errands.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients, which includes light housekeeping tasks.
- Prepare meals while adhering to dietary requirements.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Document and communicate any changes in the client's health or behavior to the appropriate parties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in caregiving is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is advantageous.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
