Position Details:
Role: LPN - Sage Road Pediatrics
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; Occasional Saturdays 8 AM - 12 PM
Licensure: A valid North Carolina license is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Duke Primary Care, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your duties will include:
- Administering medications and specialized nursing care techniques as prescribed.
- Documenting patient care and reporting responses to the supervising nurse.
- Assisting in various diagnostic procedures and collaborating with healthcare personnel.
- Participating in the development and implementation of care policies to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Engaging in performance improvement initiatives and in-service education programs.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess:
- Knowledge of the practical nursing scope and ability to delegate tasks.
- Experience in patient care and familiarity with nursing procedures.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Competence in basic life support and specialized life support as required.
- Ability to maintain focus and organization in a dynamic healthcare environment.
