UniversalCIS is in search of a dedicated professional with a proven track record in the appraisal industry to become part of our team as a full-time Senior Appraisal Reviewer/Staff Appraisal Specialist. The successful candidate will embody qualities such as initiative, integrity, and professionalism, while taking full responsibility for their assignments.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
- Annual Compensation: $40,000-$42,750
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of a comprehensive range of appraisal products to guarantee exceptional quality.
- Analyze and interpret client requests, effectively communicating relevant details to appraisers.
- Compose clear and constructive communications to appraisers that address concerns and set service expectations.
- Review Value Reconciliations and other valuation opinions as necessary to ensure high standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for complex transaction escalations involving both internal staff and external vendors.
- Perform random audits for clients.
- Engage actively in team meetings and discussions within the Valuation department.
- Manage assigned reviews to meet or exceed production goals and company standards.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
- Possession of a current Residential Appraiser license or higher, with at least five (5) years of residential appraisal experience.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of appraisal principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, internet research, and standard office equipment.
- Quick adaptability to new technologies and software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Experience in appraisal review is preferred, though training is available for the right candidate.
- National review experience is advantageous.
- A background in banking or lending is beneficial.
- Experience in secondary market or portfolio evaluations is a plus.
