About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing patient-centered care and addressing acute and chronic medical conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with various medical conditions and post-operative needs. They will also monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments as per physician orders, and maintain accurate and thorough patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Provide individualized care to patients with diverse medical needs, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
    • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatments.
  • Clinical Documentation
    • Maintain up-to-date and detailed patient records, ensuring seamless communication with the healthcare team.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and coordination to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work effectively with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care requirements.
  • Technical Skills
    • Demonstrate proficiency in operating and maintaining medical equipment, such as IV pumps, wound vacuums, and telemetry monitors.
    • Perform procedures like catheterizations, wound care, and IV insertions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Patient Advocacy
    • Promote patient safety and advocate for their rights and dignity throughout the care process.
    • Recognize and respond to deteriorating patient conditions, initiating life-saving interventions when necessary.
