We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on 3 West, a 33-bed Orthopedic Trauma and Medical Surgical Unit at UMC Health System.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse on our team, you'll provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment to patients across the young adult and adult life span. You'll work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver specialized care for patients with planned joint replacements, orthopedic trauma, and other medical disease processes.
Responsibilities- Assess, implement, or delegate, plan, and evaluate total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy.
- Provide and direct patient care for a group of patients.
- Relate effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
- Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
- BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
- Med-Surg certification preferred and encouraged.
