Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory section, ensuring timely and accurate specimen handling, testing, and results reporting.
* Collaborate with the Laboratory Section Supervisor and/or Laboratory Manager to develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
* Provide guidance and support to laboratory staff, including training and development programs.
* Ensure compliance with laboratory and hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related field, with a minimum of 16 semester hours in biological sciences and 16 semester hours in chemistry.
* Three years of experience as a medical laboratory scientist or clinical laboratory scientist.
* Certification as MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), or equivalent.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical database software.
