Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
  • Independently diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries within your scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with the clinical director for complex cases requiring specialized expertise.
  • Manage chronic health conditions effectively, providing ongoing care and support to patients.
  • Prescribe medications as authorized, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer immunizations and perform other essential medical procedures.
  • Offer counseling and guidance to patients on various health-related topics, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory results, X-rays, and electrocardiograms.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.
Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
  • Current DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
