We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Specialist to join our team at Human Learning Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, promoting and fostering applicant referral, and ensuring the Job Corps program maintains a positive public image and strong community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality Job Corps outreach, admissions, and re-admissions services and support within an assigned geographical area.
  • Recruit eligible youth to the Job Corps program and maintain commitment of students recruited to the program.
  • Assist applicants in developing a career and employability plan.
  • Participate in evening and weekend outreach/recruitment activities as necessary or assigned.
  • Travel, as needed, for outreach and file completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field.
  • OR Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience.
  • Experience in counseling, marketing, or education is desired.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
