Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at MEDIKO INC. As a Medical Professional in a correctional setting, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our center's physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients
  • Schedule medical appointments and provide emergency medical assistance as needed
  • Conduct medical history interviews and prepare medical history and physical reports
  • Administer medication and treatment as prescribed by the physician
  • Maintain control of all medications and drugs on hand in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure that medical office is clean and properly stocked, and all medications and supplies are promptly ordered
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of an Accredited Nursing Program leading to licensure with the ability to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • High school graduate or equivalent, and must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Active, unencumbered state/commonwealth Licensed Practical Nurse license
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience, preferably in a correctional center
  • Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
