Job Summary

As a skilled tradesman and restoration specialist at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, you will play a critical role in the construction side of restoration. This involves focusing on construction and home repair due to property damage. Your expertise will be in general maintenance and home repair, working with various materials such as wood, metal, and others. Your responsibilities will include installing cabinets and shelves, hanging drywall, painting, installing molding and trim, and installing hardware.

Key Responsibilities

- Framing, drywall, and texturing are essential skills required for this role.
- Ensure accurate measurements and cuts are made.
- Perform repair work as needed.
- Transport supplies and materials as required.
- Maintain open communication with all involved parties.
- Be proficient in the RMS job management program.
- Knowledge and performance of specific direct repair (vendor) program requirements.
- Knowledge and performance of Lead Safe Guidelines.
- Knowledge and performance of Uniform Building codes.
- Knowledge and performance of OSHA Safety Guidelines.
- Knowledge and performance of Asbestos Safety.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of experience and required training.
- At least 2 years of experience in drywall, painting, and framing.
- Prior experience in a physical labor position is preferred but not necessary.
- Must have own tools and a vehicle capable of hauling tools and materials.
- Ability to pass a drug test, MVR check, and background check.

Working Conditions

- Construction environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and fumes.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- May require standing or walking for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs and climb ladders.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
