About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician PRN to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a Surgical Technician PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide surgical scrub services for various surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to asepsis principles.
  • Organize and maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
  • Participate in a rotational call system to ensure continuous availability of patient services.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Assist with the turnover and assembly of instrument sets, and maintain equipment and supplies through proper sterilization and decontamination techniques.
Requirements
  • Previous clinical experience in an Operating Room environment is required.
  • Certification in Operating Room Technology is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Pain Management experience is preferred.
