About the Position:

The Department of Defense is seeking a highly skilled Supervisory Budget Analyst to join our team. As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will work under the general supervision of the Budget Division Chief, G8 and USAACE located in Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Allocates funds to projects and programs based on analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
  • Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds, requirement for reprogramming between budget accounts, and maintenance, balance, and distribution.
  • Supervises employees involved in the application of financial laws and statues, financial and budget systems policies, accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices as they pertain to budget, financial systems, and interfacing systems.
  • Establishes standards of performance and evaluates subordinates against accepted standards.
  • Provides advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees involving technical work as well as administrative matters.
Requirements:
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must complete Supervisory Probationary for one year.
  • Temporary Duty travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must obtain and maintain Secret background investigation.
  • Incumbent must maintain and obtain Financial Management Level 2 Certification.
