About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Transformation and Integration: Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouses and lakes.
  • Data Source Identification: Identify and prioritize data sources to meet business requirements, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models, including logical and physical data models, to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Code Development and Testing: Write high-quality code to develop data solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Applied Business Acumen: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions to drive business growth.
  • Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms, such as GCP or Azure.
  • Programming Languages: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud computing platforms, including deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Engineering Experience: Experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
  • Cloud Certifications: Cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer.
  • Accessibility Experience: Experience with implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
