Job Description

Overview

Gold Star Foods, a leading provider of K-12 school nutritional food distribution, is seeking a motivated and experienced CDL A Route Delivery Driver to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to schools and other locations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collect signed invoices at each stop for product verification
  • Unload the truck at delivery stops and at the end of the day
  • Keep your vehicle clean and in a safe condition
  • Maintain and follow DOT Rules and Regulations
  • Demonstrate consistent, on-time attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Commercial driving experience of a minimum of 1 year
  • Have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) for the past 3 years
  • Hold a valid Class A Driver's License
  • Maintain a current DOT Medical Certificate
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications based on school or military base requirements
  • Able to pass drug, background screenings, and fingerprinting

Benefits

  • Competitive pay rate of $26.50 per hour, with earning potential of $58,300 to $74,200 working 50 to 60 hours over 40 work weeks

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday with occasional layovers
  • Begin between 3am and 6am until route completion
  • Average weekly hours of 50-60 hours in a 5-day work week
