Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to serve as the Director of Surgical Services at Ascension St. Vincent. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in our surgical services department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone and maintaining records.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • Document the provider's encounter with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Medical Assistant specializing in Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
