State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Job Description

At IntelyCare, we're seeking dedicated nursing professionals who appreciate a balanced life. As a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), you'll have the flexibility to choose shifts at our partner facilities that best fit your needs and preferences.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in post-acute care facilities in nearby areas
  • Be accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents
  • Check vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse and provide regular reports to the broader nursing team
  • Observe the conditions of residents on an ongoing basis, alerting supervising staff to any concerns or emergencies
  • Help residents perform activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, personal hygiene, and feeding
  • Change linens, sanitize surfaces, and perform other tasks to provide a clean and sanitary environment for residents
  • Serve as an important go-between for residents and healthcare staff
  • Stay engaged with residents and offer daily companionship and comfort
  • Communicate with family members and other visitors and help to address their concerns
  • Move residents safely and comfortably to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs, repositioning them as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and nursing care procedures
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Effective organizational skills and communication skills
  • Appropriate bedside manner
