We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to join our team as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach and mentor medical students, surgical residents, and transplant fellows in the areas of kidney transplantation and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy.
- Conduct clinical duties in the specialty areas of kidney transplantation and pancreas transplantation.
- Engage in research and scholarship in the noted specialties and associated scientific fields, with a focus on basic, translational, and clinical research.
- Participate in programmatic leadership in living kidney donation and contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines.
- MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent.
- Certification by the American Board of Surgery or equivalent international certification.
- Completion of an ASTS-accredited multi-organ transplant fellowship.
- Programmatic leadership experience in living kidney donation.
- Experience in pancreas transplantation.
