Forensic Psychoeducational Specialist

StarCare Specialty Health System is seeking a qualified Forensic Psychoeducational Specialist to join our team at the Lubbock County Detention Center. As a key member of our Women's Services team, you will provide education and support to incarcerated women, helping them to develop essential skills and knowledge to achieve a successful reentry into society.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for women incarcerated at the Lubbock County Detention Center, focusing on topics such as medication management, conflict resolution, and anger management.
- Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Collaborate with LPDO and StarCare Outpatient Services to develop reentry plans for assigned individuals.
- Serve as a consultant to jail mental health staff and coordinate with psychiatrists, PNA staff, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement overall reentry goals and treatment plans for assigned individuals.
- Facilitate biweekly treatment team meetings for individuals requiring medication management.
- Master's degree in a Human Services field, such as sociology, psychology, or family studies, with two years of full-time experience in a related field.
- Pursuing a Master's degree in a Human Services field, preferred.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-Associate), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-Associate), Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and one year of full-time experience in a related field, preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
