Job Description

Job Title: Formulation Specialist

Job Description

As a Formulation Specialist at Actalent, you will be responsible for conducting analysis of raw materials in accordance with quality requirements. You will formulate with raw materials to create finished products, communicate effectively with customers, and create and process technical documents for the ingredients manufactured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of raw materials in accordance with quality requirements
  • Formulate with raw materials to create finished products
  • Communicate effectively with customers
  • Create and process technical documents for the ingredients manufactured
  • Address any concerns at the company location involving lab or manufacturing
  • Occasionally go out into the field with Sales members to speak with customers
  • Enter Certificates of Analysis to see if new chemicals would fit in the manufacturing line

Requirements:

  • 4+ years within personal care formulations industry
  • Experience with surfactants, preservatives, emulsifiers, esters, and other specialty materials
  • Formulating finished products to promote specialty ingredients
  • Entering certificates of analysis and working with new chemicals

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in a close-knit family culture with open support for one another. The work environment is team-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues.
