We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paraeducator to join our team at Colchester Public Schools. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs and providing educational assistance to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including academic and behavioral support
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment
- Develop and implement behavioral support plans to promote positive student behavior
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure student success
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of college credits or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- Successful experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
