At Rock Springs, we are committed to providing compassionate and effective behavioral health services to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to join our team as a PRN (as needed only) team member.

Job Summary:

The CTRS will be responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs for patients, including assessing patient needs, formulating treatment plans, and documenting patient progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recreational therapy, experience working with patients with mental health and substance use disorders, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs for patients
  • Assess patient needs and formulate treatment plans
  • Document patient progress and outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy (CTRS)
  • Previous experience working in a psychiatric healthcare facility, preferably with patients with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Current certification/license/registration required per state of practice guidelines
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days
