Telecommunications Consultant

Acentech, a leading design consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Telecommunications consultant to join our team in Cambridge, MA. This is a hybrid position with a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in Telecommunications consulting and project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write proposals and assist with business development
• Strong client-facing experience and project management skills
• Ability to produce bid specifications and drawings
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams
• BICSI RCDD certification preferred
• Electronic security system design expertise a plus

The candidate will also need to understand Acentech's Audiovisual and Security business to interface Telecommunication systems with those systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship to junior consultants
• Collaborate with CAD department staff on projects and assist with drafting standards efforts
• Attend client meetings, produce meeting minutes, prepare program reports, and develop budgets
• Design Telecom systems document packages, including written program/narrative documents, catalog cut sheets, and detail drawings
• Attend project meetings and site visits, and produce meeting notes
• Visit project sites to develop observation reports during construction and at completion
• Participate in marketing and business development activities, including attending networking events and preparing presentations
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and products
• Attend weekly Technology Group department meetings
• Maintain targeted chargeability rate
